BMX Racer, Weston Pope, Represents BFR in Uganda

June 11, 2013

Check out this awesome interview of Weston Pope, a professional bmx racer who is putting a stop in his busy schedule of racing and grad school to head to Uganda and Kenya with wife, Kelsey.

Weston and Kelsey are representing our mission on the ground in Kenya and Uganda working with our bfr kids sponsor program and empowerment program as well as offering counseling and encouragement to the kids, their parents and the leaders in the communities. As you know, Kelsey has already been there serving for a month and made huge leaps and bounds with our ladies, the children at Smile Africa and their families in the community.

We are so thankful for this amazing couple and all that they have already accomplished in Africa. We know God has such big plans for them on this mission. The movement they have already made with our programs is astounding. Weston plans to teach the boys about bike maintenance and probably show them a thing or two on the bike as well. We are excited for the support Weston's BMX sponsors at Dan's Comp, his friends, fellow bikers and family have given him and our organization! Their encouragement of our mission goes such a long way!
